Social
Social Responsiblity
A major part of the worldwide garments is produced without any sense for social and ecological requirements. Unfortunately there is no guarantee for 100 % fair production.
This would make it necessary to monitor each step of the whole manufacturing process.
We put maximum effort, to ensure that our clothing line is produced under well recognized social and ecological standards.
To pursue this plan, we have joined the Fair Wear Foundation and implemented the stringent social criteria into our code of ethics. Based on the main content of FWF and ILO ( International Labour Organisation) ,we have defined following ethical guidelines:
– We will never accept any form of forced or child labour
– We only accept suppliers which pay living wages and work with legally binding labour contracts.
– The work takes place without any discrimination and focuses on the convention of equality.
– No excessive working hours
– Freedom of association and the right for collective bargaining
Goals:
– Fair wages for all workers, that are involved into the production process
– Safe and hygienic working standards
– Fair prices for cotton farmers and end consumers
– Quality assurance through long production runs
Arrangements
For a better control of our production line, we have decided to work with as few manufacturers as possible. We will visit our main supplier once a year, to check the social standards at the factory. This means we will interview workers on site, inspect working places and take care of safety standards.
Apart from this, we permanently try to improve the working conditions with different interactions. Therefore we have arranged an agreement with our supplier, that will take time pressure from the workers. We give an extra time of two weeks, in order to relieve workers and to enhance the finishing result of our clothing line, which enables a better quality control and thus makes our apparel more sustainable.
